Legislative report – Still in need of a legislative officer! January 3rd Senator Krist prioritized our bill L368, this bill might move quickly this round, possibly as soon as this coming Monday. Call to action was put out for some senators that need to be contacted, however Watermier was not on it. We know he will not support. You can still call/email him and ask him to please support the bill. Calls to him regarding the STR program did not pan out – has informed that he has seen the program and has no need to see it again.
Next BOD meeting is Jan 21 at 1st Avenue Bar in Lincoln, NE at 4pm. Everyone welcome to attend
LOBBY Day is Jan 22nd, 8 am at the State Capital – yes, we will still have Lobby Day, regardless how debate goes. We need to keep communication open with senators and make sure they know we are still here. Be a good time to either tell them thank you, or ask why they did not vote for us. Please, if able, make plans to attend.
